Well, the fall isn’t turning out to be quite the break from Covid that we all hoped, but the work we need to do in Texas and in our country needs to be done nonetheless!
PCDWA is marching forward and putting together a great fall schedule. We’re holding masked, outside events, with a bit of zoom thrown in as we need. As always, we’ll adjust on the go, but in the meantime, you can check out all the details on our calendar, here.
We’ll get things going with a FIRST IN PERSON FRIDAY on the second Friday in September. That’s September 10, at 9:30, when we’ll gather in person and get a chance to talk with the fantastic Kristy Noble, the new Chair of the Dallas County Democratic Party. Watch your email for the address and all other details!
And even before we have our first Friday meeting, JOIN US for a service event run by the Dallas County Dems. Clean the Block – August 28th from 10 AM – 1 PM – Dixon Circle area of South Dallas. This outreach program combats the adverse effects of environmental injustice, illegal dumping, loose trash and litter, and overall waste mismanagement in our black and brown communities. The Dallas County Dems are also hosting a Labor Day picnic, at Ernie Roberts Park in DeSoto. Be there!
We’ve also got a full line up coming up this fall of First Fridays and Happy Hours. We’re thinking HD 108, Texas state wide races, and more! Follow our calendar, facebook, instagram, and this space for more updates. As always, email membership@pcdwa.org to get added to our mailing list, or write info@pcdwa.org for more information!
