IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED
Planned New Detention Center in Hutchins, Texas, 1 million-square-foot warehouse
Majestic Realty is in final stages to sell this warehouse to ICE; it would be the largest detention center in the U.S. housing up to 10,000 people (Hutchins has a population of 7500) so this facility would not have enough water, sewage, medical care personnel, or road infrastructure to handle.
What Can I Do?
The Mayor and town of Hutchins has said NO. We can stop this sale. Three (3) actions you can take:
Contact Majestic Realty’s (seller) Management Team with the same message: “NO” (HQ=CA: 562-692-9511 or local Dallas contact (Al Sorrells): 972-726-0700 or 972-232-3760.
Email the Principles (the Roski family) Contact page: Majestic Realty Team/ Target: Edward P Roski, Jr. (Pres. & Chairman)
Vote with your Wallet (Boycott): The Roski family has deep ties to major brands such as The Crypto.com Arena, The LA Lakers & LA Kings.

Find the Action that fits You Best with PCADems
Actions can be done anonymously and largely from your own home that make an impact and send a strong message to those in power. Examples of Quiet Activism include making political donations, participating in economic boycotts (or supporting businesses who support your values), and following and supporting writers, political attorneys and other activists.
These tasks are not anonymous, but they are not public either. For example, calling your elected representatives, registering new voters, writing postcards - even bringing your friends to a PCA Dems meeting!
Current Actions: 1. DCDP annual Fish Fry - Friday, Feb. 20 from 6:00 - 8:00pm at Sokol Hall, 7448 Greenville Ave, Dallas. Buy tickets here.
Activities such as public protests can be an essential tool to demonstrate to our representatives that their constituents demand change!
Current Action Item: 1. Weekly protests at Mockingbird and Abrams every Saturday from 12:00 - 1:00
