Sisters United Alliance (SUA) is an organization that targets women who are registered, but who have not voted for years, if at all. Campaigns don’t reach out to them, because they don’t think it is worth it. Sisters United targeted these registered nonvoters in Houston during the 2016 presidential election and successfully got 50% of them to the polls. In the 2018 mid-term election, when turnout is typically low, they had an almost 40% success rate motivating these women to the polls. SUA has targeted 95,000 Democratic women in Dallas. They do the work, but they need funds to branch out to North Texas.
Please join WDUA, the Funky East Dallas Democrats, Richardson Area Democrats and the Park Cities Democratic Women's Association to hear more about Sisters United’s proven, systematic approach to getting out the vote. Please share this invitation with others who are committed to turning Texas blue!
