Halloween is often spooky. So is the TXGOP process of redrawing the state and federal electoral maps. Although our current representatives remain the winners of the 2020 elections, in 2022, we are in new districts.
If you want to find out more about these changes, check out this tool from the Texas Tribune - it will let you put in your address and give you all the 411.

Here’s a snapshot of the changes we face for the US Congressional districts:
The long and the short of it is that we’re going to be in TX 24, Beth Van Duyne’s district, and so we gotta get down to it and flip another district. We’ve done it before, we’ll do it again. If you’re not familiar with Beth Van Duyne, there was a profile of her at the Atlantic in April.
So, now we know what to do, and our first stop is getting to know our new district and race. You can get some information here, at Ballotopedia.
But more important, we’re meeting with Derrick Gay, who is running in the Democratic Primary for TX-24. Come meet him and learn more about the district on November 5 at 9:30 am. Watch your email for the information!
And there’s more!
