TR Hoover Community Development Center (www.trhoovercdc.org) in south Dallas has been registering people in their neighborhood for the Covid-19 vaccine. Many of the residents in this area of South Dallas (75210 & 75215) do not have computers, smart phones, or internet service in their homes (these zip codes are the poorest in Dallas County). We have been conducting in-person registration at the center for the past 2 weeks. To date, 130 individuals have registered for the vaccine through these efforts, and many have received vaccination appointments. Now, we are moving to a different phase of registration to reach more individuals: phone banking.

We need volunteers to call people and ask if they would like to register for the vaccine. You will then fill out and submit the online Dallas County vaccine registration form with them on the phone. We will email you a list of 30 names and phone numbers, along with the link to the Dallas County Covid Vaccine registration site. A script and training document will also be provided.
